The Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton will once again be collecting donations of new back to school supplies to be distributed to children involved with the Society and living with kin or in their own homes. The Back to School drive will assist families with the stress and financial burden of purchasing school supplies and snacks in time for September. Please consider helping us provide children and youth with new school supplies to help start the school year off feeling confident and prepared.
The following new items would be greatly appreciated:
- Backpacks suitable for children or youth
- Lunch bags
- Pencil cases
- Pencil sharpeners
- Pencil crayons
- Child-friendly scissors
- Glue sticks
- School safe snacks (peanut-free)
- Re-usable water bottles
- Ziploc sandwich bags
- Markers (Dry-erase, Sharpies, regular)
- Hand sanitizer
- Gift cards (Wal-Mart, Dollarama)
Please deliver items by Thursday, August 24 to allow time for distribution. Donations can be dropped off at the agency, 26 Arrowsmith Road, Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 4:30pm.
