The Children's Aid
Society presents "Grape Expectations"
On the evening of Monday, October 27, 2003,
The Children's Aid Society of Hamilton (CAS) will present "Grape Expectations",
a gala event to raise funds in support of the Society's Children's Fund. This
exciting event is taking place at the historic Liuna Station in Hamilton, and
will offer guests an evening of fine wines and tasty food specialties, courtesy
of some of the area's finest wineries and restaurants. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $100 per person and will include a charitable receipt. Tickets
are currently available through the Society and can be purchased by calling
Stacey Massey at (905) 522-1121, ext. 2369 or by visiting the guest services
counter at Lime Ridge Mall.
Participants who take part in this evening will help make a difference in the lives of children, youth and families. Proceeds for this event will go directly to the Society's Children's Fund. This fund enables children and youth in care to participate in many recreational and life enrichment programs, as well as receive support for post-secondary education.
The CAS also has a special raffle underway. By purchasing raffle tickets at a cost of $10 a ticket, or $25 for three tickets, individuals will have a chance to win a Banff Ski Vacation, a 42" Samsung High Definition TV with DVD, a $1,000 Lime Ridge Shopping Spree and other great prizes. Raffle tickets will be available from Stacey Massey at the Children's Aid Society and at "Grape Expectations".
The Children's Aid Society of Hamilton has been serving
the children and families of Hamilton and the surrounding area since 1894. It
is one of the largest child protection agencies in Canada. In 2002, 577
children and youth were admitted into the care of the Society. During the past
year, the agency received over 6,500 requests for service, while providing
support and counseling to 1,396 families.
